About Us

Welcome…

If you’ve never been in a church or are looking for a new church home, we’d like to invite you to check out one of our Sunday worship services.

Here at Community Covenant Church you’ll find Bible-based teaching that encourages, empowers and challenges; God-centered exceptional worship and a welcoming environment.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn about God and the hope He offers, to grow in relationship with Him and discover how to live a lifestyle that is pleasing to Him.

We are a friendly multi-generational church that wants you to know that there is a place for you in God’s family and here at Community Covenant Church.

To put it simply I love the Church! I grew up right here in Kearney, and I’ve been serving in various ministry roles for the last 17 years. Most recently, my wife Meagan and I served as Associate Pastors at Gateway Church in Blue Springs, MO. I hold a BA in Economics from UMKC

She has a background in teaching with a degree in Art and Mathematics. In addition to time with family, Stephanie enjoys her pets, gardening, reading—and traveling when she can fit it in!! Stephanie has a passion for children and teaching them about Jesus and she is very excited to be in ministry to children here at CCC.

Brenda Chouris – Church Counselor
I grew up in Carbondale in Southern Illinois. Everyone thought I had a southern accent when I first arrived in Liberty to attend William Jewell College. I have a BA in elementary education from Jewell, an MA in counseling from UMKC and a MDiv from Midwestern Baptist Theological seminary. I have had 3 simultaneous careers in education, ministry and counseling from teaching on the mission field, Assistant Dean of Students at WJC to teaching 6th grade in Bonner Springs Kansas, youth ministry at Wornall Road Baptist church, and being a school counselor for Liberty and Park Hill Schools. I am following my life path in “retirement” by providing counseling,
volunteering with the youth of our church and going on as many mission trips as God provides      opportunity. God has richly blessed me with a wonderful marriage, family and fulfilling career.
It is my joy to be able to return a portion of all I have been given by serving others through the    gifts I have been given.

Jason Patterson – Youth Ministry Director
Jason joined Kearney Covenant Church in 2018 and has served as a praise band member, playing the bass guitar and serves as the IT ministry lead. Jason has his MBA from Park University and works for a software company in Boston doing Information Security and Compliance Operations. From a young age, Jason felt a calling to ministry and as the Youth Ministry Director, Jason has further discerned his calling to youth ministry.
He has completed his 1st year at North Park Theological Seminary working on his Master of Arts in Christian Formation and has plans to become licensed bi-vocational minister in the Evangelical Covenant Church.
