Mike Coglan - Senior Pastor
I was raised a in secular home in the Chicago area. During high school, I discovered my passions: Jesus and my future wife Laura. After college, we married and eventually came to a deep engagement with a wonderful church. Although I had a promising career in business, I found myself consumed with church leadership. Just a few months after earning my MBA, God called me back to school at North Park Theological Seminary. Since graduating, I have applied myself to making the church a more effective force for sharing the good news and making disciples. I love my church, I love my town, and I love starting spiritual conversations with skeptical people. In my spare time, I like to write, hunt, lead men's wilderness trips, and travel with Laura to visit our grown children and their families in Alaska and Colorado.
Grayson Daganaar - Associate Pastor
My introduction to a vibrant expression of Christian faith began in my middle school
years when my family joined the church-plant of a new congregation in the Evangelical
Covenant Church. It was in the context of that church that my youth pastor saw my strengths,
passions, and interests, and showed me how I could use them to serve God. As a result, I
committed my life to following Jesus Christ and serving his church. Now, I strive to disciple
students and their families with the same passion and intentionality that I received. I find
something very energizing about youth ministry. I love spending time with middle and high
school students, listening to their stories and answering questions about what it means to be a
follower of Christ. My wife, Katherine, and I came to Community Covenant Church in
November of 2015. Since then, our family has grown to two kids and two dogs! We love
reading, watching Netflix, and going on family adventures.
